There's a town called Falikirk about 20 miles to the west from Edinburgh
airport. The distillery stands by a canal in a village called Camelon,
about a mile to the north from the town. James Rankine bought a malt factory
to remodel it to this distillery and he completed it in 1840. After that
the distillery was owned by Scotish Malt Distillers Ltd. (SMD) but it was
closed in 1993. The huge structures and the tall chimney makes you imagine
the days when it flourished.
It was begun to break a building.(May2007) |
